How it works

What Sited checks, and how the score is built

Every Sited report is generated fresh from your website URL: a live crawl of your pages, checked against six audit dimensions, then written up as a single evidence-labelled report. No login, no connected accounts, nothing installed on your site.

The six audit dimensions

AI crawler & platform access

Whether the AI crawlers behind ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Bing Copilot can actually reach your site at all: robots.txt rules, llms.txt, and basic technical accessibility.

Content citability

Whether your pages are structured so an AI system can lift a specific fact or claim and attribute it to you with confidence, rather than skipping past unclear or unattributed content.

Brand authority & entity presence

Whether your organisation exists as a recognisable "entity" across the sources AI systems already cross-reference to decide who to trust.

Technical foundation

The underlying technical health (rendering, speed, security) that determines whether AI systems and search engines can index your pages properly in the first place.

Structured data & schema

The machine-readable markup that tells an AI system what a page actually is: an organisation, an article, a product, a policy.

Platform-specific readiness

A breakdown by individual AI platform, since access and interpretation differ tool by tool: a site can be well-handled by one and effectively invisible to another.

How the GEO Readiness Score works

Each dimension is scored independently from evidence collected during the crawl, then combined into a single GEO Readiness Score out of 100. The weighting favours the dimensions with the strongest, most direct link to whether AI systems can actually find and cite a page. We don't publish the exact weighting formula or the underlying scoring logic, the same way most audit or ratings methodologies keep their internal model private, but every finding in your report tells you exactly what was observed and why it moved the score.

Observed vs. experimental

We separate what we can directly observe on your site from newer, less-established practices where the evidence is still emerging. Your report's Agent Readinesssection, for example, is explicitly labelled experimental: the signals are real, but the link to AI agent behaviour isn't yet backed by published platform guidance, so it never affects your score. Read more on our Agent Readiness page.

See it for yourself

We publish a full, unedited sample report generated for wikipedia.org, so you can see the real output format before you pay for your own.
